BC dropped to 2 wins and 3 losses at the Tim Hortons Brier in Halifax after last night's 8-7 loss to Quebec.
BC takes on Newfoundland in Draw number 10 this afternoon, and will also face Northern Ontario in Draw 11 tonight.
Glenn Howard and Team Ontario lead the standings at 5 and 0.

3/9/2010Bruins Prep for Cougar Doubleheader
Save On Foods Bruins hockey hits the ice in Prince George tonight, as the Bruins take on Cougars at the CN Centre.
It's the 7th meeting this season between the clubs, as the Bruins and Cougars are at it again tomorrow.
Catch tonight's broadcast on 89-5 The Hawk beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45.
After the two mid-week games in Prince George, the Bruins play their final 2 games of the regular season this weekend.
Their final home game is Friday against Portland, followed by a Saturday trip to Everett.

BC picked up their first win last night, beating Nova Scotia 9-5.

The Bruins fell to the Vancouver Giants at Prospera centre last night.
That's after a 4-1 win over Tri-Cities on Friday night.
Bruins now have 4 games left in the regular season, with 3 on the road and 1 at home.
Bruins play in Prince George against the Cougars tomorrow and Wednesday.
The Final Save On Foods Bruins home game is Friday against the Portland Winter Hawks.
Bruins remain in 8th place in the Western Conference, 4 points back of Kamloops, and 6 behind Kelowna.

3/8/2010Chilliwack Crusaders Beat Undefeated Capilano Rugby Club
The Chilliwack Crusaders Men's Rugby team beat the previously undefeated Capilano Rugby Club 21-15 at Townsend Park on Saturday.
The Crusaders improved to 3-1, and now take on the Kats Saturday in Vancouver.
Middle and High School rugby is also underway.
The Sardis Falcons head into Spring Break on a high note after beating Port Moody Secondary a 19-0 last week.

3/6/2010Luongo Shaky, Canucks Lose to 'Hawks.
Roberto Luongo just can't seem to get enough of Chicago's catchy goal song, Chelsea Dagger.
He heard it five times in the first period, just before he got the hook.
Raycroft looked sharp in relief, but it wasn't enough, as the Chicago Blackhawks doubled up the Vancouver Canucks 6-3.
The Canucks are back in action tomorrow against Nashville.

3/6/2010Bruins Pick-up the Home Win
The Chilliwack Bruins won their 30th game of the season last night, after a 4-1 victory over the Tri-City Americans.
Roman Horak, Jamie Crooks, Dylen McKinley and Colton Grant into an empty net scored in the victory, as Chilliwack won the season series 3-1 over the Western Conference Leaders.
Lucas Gore made 31 saves and was named the games first star.
The Bruins remain 2 points back of Kamloops and 4 back of Kelowna, as both the Blazers and Rockets won last night.
Next Save on Foods Bruins hockey is Sunday, as the Vancouver Giants visit Prospera Centre at 5 pm.

3/5/2010Atom Tourney in Chilliwack
The 29th Annual Chilliwack Minor Hockey Atom Tournament kicks off today at Twin Rinks and Prospera Centre.
All the local Chilliwack Atom house teams are participating, as well as teams from Surrey, Langley, Kamloops, West Vancouver, Richmond, Maple Ridge and Hope.
Games run all day today and tomorrow until 10:15pm, with the playoff games on Sunday.

The Chilliwack Fusion Athletics cheerleaders brought home the hardware in California.
The Travel Team captured first place in the star division at the Sharp International San Diego Competition last week.
They also won the most outstanding team trophy at the competition.
The local cheerleaders were the only Canadian Team at the event.

3/5/2010Baseball Gearing Up in Chilliwack
Chilliwack Minor Baseball is holding a final evalutaion for the Moquito Division.
It goes tomorrow from 2:30 until 4pm at the Landing Sports Centre.
Players who have been to a previous evalution session do not need to attend.

Batters Box Baseball Academy is holding a Spring Break Camp March 8th-11th.
Sessions will focus on all aspects of the game.

GW Graham hosted a middle school rugby tournament yesterday.
The final was Mt Slesse against Vedder Middle and Mt Slesse won 20-15.
The senior Chilliwack men's rugby team plays tomorrow against one of the largest and most-storied clubs in all of North America, the Capilanos Rugby Football Club.
Tomorrow's game goes at Townsend Park on Pitch D at 12:00.

Chilliwack Crusaders Rugby is holding a middle school tournament today at GW Graham.
Games get underway at 9am, and run until 3 pm.
The Men's Crusaders Rugby team host Capilano this Saturday at Townsend Park at 11:30 am.

3/4/2010Canucks Trade Deals
Canucks made a few minor moves on yesterday's trade deadline.
They picked up forward Yan Stastney for minor leaguer Pierre Cedric Labrie. Canucks sent defenceman Mathieu Schneider to Phoenix for Sean Zimmerman. Schneider was playing in the minors with the Manitoba Moose.
And the final move was adding defenceman Andrew Alberts from Carolina for a 3rd round pick. In total 31 trades were made yesterday, involving 55 players, and 25 draft picks.

3/4/2010Kayak Camp
If you're looking for a little adventure during Spring Break here's something for you: The Chilliwack Centre of Excellence is holding a kayak camp, for kids and teens between the ages of 9-18.
The camp will run from March 8th to the 12th and goes daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
It costs $220 per person, that includes all equipment, lunch and lessons. If you sign up with a friend, the cost drops to $200 per person.

3/3/2010Minor Moves Fill Trade Deadline
The NHL trade deadline has come and gone.
The Canucks made a few minor moves.
They moved minor league forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie to St. Louis for forward Yan Stastny.
They also sent veteran defencemen Mathieu Schiender to Phoenix for defencemen Dean Zimmerman and a conditional 6th round pick. Schneider was playing win the Manitoba Moose.
Canucks also aquired defenceman Andrew Albers from the Carolina Hurricanes for a 3rd round pick.
In total 28 trades involving 49 players were made today

3/3/2010UFV Volleyball Takes Second
It was a silver lining to a great season for the UFV Men's Volleyball team.
The Men's squad fell in the gold medal game on the weekend at the BCAA Provincials.
The Men lost in 3 very close sets to Camosun College out of Victoria.
Fifth-year setter Daryl Wiebe was the player of the game for UFV.

NHL players will keep their cell phones turned on all morning.
It's the NHL trade deadline today, the final deals have to be in by noon.
With the Canucks once again a playoff contender, GM Mike Gillis could make some moves to upgrade the club.
After all the struggles in Edmonton this season, the Oilers could be one of the busiest teams before the deadline.

The Chilliwack Midget A2 Bruins captured the Pacific Coast Banner with a 4 nothing victory last night.
They finished the President's Series with 7 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties.
Robbie Gibb picked up the shut-out last night.
Colton Pruss and Travis Sherman both had a pair of goals for Chilliwack in the victory.

Christian Erhoff scored in overtime,as the Vancouver Canucks beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 last night.
Canucks remain in 3rd spot in the Western Conference. Vancouver plays in Detroit tonight.
