The BC Lions and their starting quarterback refuted reports he is out indefinitely with a knee injury.
Printers is expected to join the Lions for tomorrow's game in Edmonton.

It took just 140 characters for Rob Murphy to get fined by the CFL.
The Toronto Argonauts offensive lineman was penalized for distasteful comments made on Twitter.
Murphy later removed the tweets and apologized.

7/29/2010Chilliwack Cougars Host Baseball Provincials Today
The top ten BC teams in the Bantam Double A division hit the diamonds at Fairfield Park today.
The Chilliwack Cougars are hosting the baseball provincial championships.
The Cougars open up against Burnaby at 10am today.
At 4pm they play Vancouver.
The tournament's winning team goes on to the Western Canadian Championships in Newton August 12th to the 15th.

7/29/2010MLB: Mills Impresses, Seattle Loses
Brad Mills made the most of his time with the Blue Jays.
Mills got his first major-league win as Toronto beat Baltimore 5-0.
The 25-year-old lefty gave up two hits over seven innings.
He was then promptly sent back down to the minors after the game.

The White Sox took the Mariners to task again yesterday.
Chicago beat Seattle 6-5.
The teams are at it again tonight.

7/29/2010Bruins Tentative Schedule Out
Bruins fans have their weekends planned.
The Chilliwack Bruins tentative schedule is out.
The official one arrives August 10th.
The 26 home games this season are on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights.
The Sunday games once again start at 5:00, and are Family Fun Nights.
Friday night games will now start at 7:30, instead of 7:00. It allows people more time to get to the games.
The season opener is October 2nd, with a tribute to First Nations and the revealing of the Bruins new third jersey.
And of course 895 The Hawk will be hosting the tailgate party.

7/28/2010Printers Season Hangs in the Balance
BC Lions' head coach Wally Buono says they will know the full status of Casey Printer's knee on Thursday
Reports are floating around that Printers could miss the rest of the CFL season
They say he has a torn meniscus and a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Buono says the swelling in Printers' right knee seems to be under control but he will know more after today's practice.
He says Printers is expected to be the third-string quarterback in Friday's road game against the Edmonton Eskimos.

7/28/2010MLB: Toronto Looks for a Sweep, Mariners Look for a Win
Jose Bautista got a little closer to a career goal last night.
The Toronto Blue Jays slugger hit two homers and drove in five runs against the Baltimore Orioles en route to an 8-2 win.
That gives Bautista a league-leading 30 homers. He's also got 75 RBI's, and wants to get to 100.
Ricky Romero had a solid outing, striking out eight in 7-plus innings for his eighth win.
It was Toronto's 11th straight win over Baltimore.

Seattle dropped last night's game against the White Sox.
Chicago won 11-0.

7/27/2010Junior Golf Event Next Week in Fraser Valley
Tomorrow is the deadline to enter the Fraser Valley Junior Golf Tournament .
It's for golfers ages 11 to 17 and runs next Tuesday through Friday.
It will be played at 4 courses.
Aquadel, Meadowlands, Chilliwack Golf and Country Club and the Royalwood.
Entry fee is 65 dollars.

Chilliwack Peewee Triple 'A' Cougars baseball team travel to Abbotsford tonight for a game.
They will host Ridge Meadows tomorrow at Fairfield.
They finish out the season with 2 games in Victoria on Saturday.

7/27/2010Cougars Gearing Up for Provincials
The top 10 Bantam Double 'A' Baseball teams will be in Chilliwack this weekend.
The Bantam Double 'A' Cougars are hosting the BC Bantam Provincinals at Fairfield Island Park.
Cougars first game goes Thursday morning at 10 am against Burnaby.
Opening Ceremonies Thursday evening at 6PM.
Also the Chilliwack Y2K Mosquito 'A' Cougars will also be playing in the Provincials this weekend.
Those Provincials will be played in North Delta running Thursday through Monday.

The W.H.L is holding their Western Conference scheduling meetings today in Kelowna.
Bruins will have a tentative schedule by tomorrow.
Bruins open the pre-season September 3rd in Chase against the Kamloops Blazers.
The regular season home opener is October 2nd also against Kamoops.

7/26/2010Zone 3 Fraser Valley Finish Second at BC Summer Games
Fraser Valley Zone 3 finished 2nd in the medal total at summer games that wrapped up yesterday in Langley.
Zone 3 finished with 167 medals.
77 Gold, 53 Silver, and 37 Bronze.
Yesterday the boys fastpitch team captured the gold medal.
The team consisted of 6 members from the Chilliwack fastpitch league.
Brendan and Jordan Donegan, Ryan Kaplanis, Parker Hensdbee, Thomas Bunn and Filip Horak.

It was the best finished in 22 years by a Canadian at the Tour De France.
Victoria's Ryder Hesjedal finished in 7th spot in the grueling race.
Lance Armstrong finished 23rd in his final appearance at the famous race.

7/26/2010Howse at Flames Development Camp
Chilliwack Bruins forward Ryan Howse begins development camp today in Calgary with the Flames.
Howse is a 3rd round pick by the Flames, and is coming off a 47 goal season with the Bruins.
Kevin Sundher, Dylen Mckinley and Tyler Stahl have all taken part in camps wih their respective NHL teams after getting drafted this year.
Bruins camp is less than a month away, with the Golf Tournament set for August 24th.

7/26/2010Local Lacrosse Teams Brings Home Bronze
The Chilliwack Mustangs Peewee A2 team caputured the bronze medal at the BC Lacrosse provincial championships in Delta on the weekend.
Mustangs beat Port Coquitlam 6-5.
Chilliwack scored the game winning goal with only 1:25 left in regulation.

Sweden's Carl Pettersson was the winner at the R-B-C Canadian Open.
Pettersoson who barely made the cut edged 3rd round leader Dean Wilson by one shot.
Abbotsford product Adam Hadwin was the top Canadian finishing in 37th at 5 under par.

The Chilliwack Bantam Double 'A' Cougars baseball team posted a big 19-4 win yesterday over the Cloverdale Spurs.
Scott Fitzsimmons went 4 for 5 while Mark Penner was 3 for 4.
Cougars host the Bantam double 'A' provincials starting Thursday.

The Chilliwack Huskers dropped their home opener 55-27 yesterday to the Victoria Rebels.
Quarterback Clayton Kroeker threw for 4 touchdowns in the loss.
Dylan Belair, Ben Skerret, Nick DiGuistini, and Adam Vickers all caught touchdowns.
Huskers visit the Vancouver Island Raiders next Saturday.

Zone 3 Fraser Valley slipped into 2nd place in the medal standings at the BC Summer games in Langley.
Zone 3 now has 107 medals. 42 gold , 40 silver and 25 bronze.
Vancouver Island - Central Coast leads at 122.
Today is the final day of competiton.

The BC Lions dropped their 3rd game in row after last night's 24-20 loss to the Toronto Argonauts.
Lions blew a 9 point lead in the 4th quarter and now sit at 1 and 3.

Zone 3 Fraser Valley leads the medal count after day 1 at the BC Summer games being held in the Township of Langley.
Zone 3 has 44 medals. 19 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze.
Several athletes from Chilliwack are taking part in the games, which continue today and tomorrow.

Hadwin shot a 4 under 66 yesterday.
Abbotsford's Nick Taylor missed the cut by 3 strokes.

The BC Summer games are in full swing in the Township ofLangley.
Over 3 thousands athletes from 8 zones are taking part, including Zone 3 Fraser Valley.
The games feature 35 events including special olympics in swimming and athletics.
Over its 30-year history, the BC Summer and BC Winter Games have been staged in 38 communities and have hosted 100 thousand participants representing every region of B.C.
